The fortress of the old Vodice from 16 th century had disappeared long ago, both in the reality and methaphorically. On the Adriatic coast there are very few so open and so levely tourist resorts,
50 years ago the citizens of Vodice were mostly farmers oriented towards the land than fishermen or seamen who are directedtowards the sea. Nowadays they are completely oriented towards the sea: they live on and from tourism.
